Agility

This page is dedicated to all agility lovers. A love I discovered a few years ago but really fell in love with in 2000. Bemol and Nova are started, the first with me and the latter with Guillaume. Bemol obtained her Veteran Novice title this summer and Nova her first leg in Novice. I thought it was finished for Bemol since an old scar was giving her pain but she came back in 2004 to finish her VAADC at 12 years young. Charisme made his debut in agility in 2001. Giving him time to mature a bit and obtain his minimum age requirement of 18 months. Winnie joined the agility group later and was the Guillaume’s dog since. You will see in the agility rings after July 11^th 2006, Guillaume and Spirit too. Other dogs from Nicha will follow with the years to come. The dogs are good but the owners… Speak about me, I need to work my stress and my body language and, hope, I will ameliorate.

I would like to tell you a little story: Once upon a time there was a little boy named Guillaume. At the age of 5, he presented his bitch Nova, a Belgian Sheepdog of almost 2 years, in agility. It was the first time for both. What emotions it brought to see on course this little man and is bitch almost as tall as him. All 16 obstacles were done in correct order with the speed of a 5-year-old boy!!! Because Nova (who has the potential of a bomb, she is C-4’s sister after all) softly followed Guillaume, adapting to his speed. There was silence all around, my camera in hand, I only took one photo (and a bad one at that), too busy wiping my eyes. At only two moments was the silence broken by a collective laugh when Guillaume leaned on the table during the down and at the end when everyone applauded.

On this page you will see Nicha dogs mostly with their impassioned owners and some others too. Bravo to all of them and to all the others to come and to all who are “crazy” about agility no matter the breed.

I have to tell you that I’m a very proud breeder, until here (I hope it’s not finished) four dogs from Nicha, two Belgians Tervueren and two shelties went and/or are going to the Agility Mondial with the CAT (Canadian Agility Team).

Most of the photos are mine, but a few friends were willing to share theirs. If I forgot to ask the permission or to thank someone and he (she) doesn't agree, just let me know, I will correct it as fast as possible.
